RICHARD MASON – Director/Producer/Camera

Richard Mason is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker with a background in commercials, music videos, short Films and documentary. He earned an Editing Degree from the American Film Institute (Hollywood) and built a career editing for a wide range of national and international clients including Telemundo, MTV, History Channel, Speed Channel, DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Disney, Fox Sports and the FX Network. In 2012, Richard Directed/Produced/Edited the short film “Time is Running Out”, about the environmental damage to the underground water systems in Cancun, Mexico, which won the Grand Prize at the Experimento23 Film Festival. Currently, he’s in post-production on his first feature documentary, “Fire Dance with Me” about the lives of Fire Dancers in southern Mexico as they develop their technique and performance skills to the highest level by staging the first International Fire Dance Festival in Mexico

 

MARGARITA PORRAS LIMAS – Producer/Camera

Margarita Porras Limas is an award-winning producer, editor and photographer. She earned an Administration degree in Durango, MX and then moved to Playa Del Carmen where she worked for such clients as Corona, Dos Equis, The Real Gilligan’s Island for TBS and The Latin American Music Awards for MTV. In 2009 she helped form Atman Films with partner Richard Mason and went on the produce the short film Time is Running Out, about the environmental damage plaguing Cancun, MX, which won best film at the Experimento23 Film Fest. Currently she is in postproduction on her second film Fire Dance with Me, about the lives and struggles of Fire Dancers in the Riviera Maya. She is also a full time employee at 20^th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles, Ca.
